Gatwick is the
world's busiest single runway airport, linking
London
with destinations worldwide. The check in areas are on the second
floor of each terminal. To find your check-in zone, look up your
flight on the information screens near the entrance. You are advised
to check in as early as possible. As a general guide, you should
allow: Three hours before scheduled departure for long-haul, two
hours before scheduled departure for European flights and 90 mins
before UK
and Irish flights.
The arrival areas are on the ground floor of the North Terminal and
on the second floor of the South Terminal (at the opposite end from
check-in for international arrivals, or near check-in zone B for
UK
arrivals).
